Did You Know?

• SDHS Theatre produces 5-6 productions per year?
• We do great Theatre! Recent musicals include: Newsies, Rock of Ages, Cinderella, Hairspray, and Les Miserables.
• SDHS Theatre & Music regularly wins group and individual awards at District, Regional, and State competitions. We are often regarded as the best fine arts program in the area.
• Our students earn critical workplace skills like creative problem solving, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, self-evaluation, and entrepreneurial skills. We are training leaders!
• Recent SDHS Theatre and Music Alumni have gone on to study Theatre and related arts at prestigious universities such as NYU, UVA, VCU, JMU, University of California Irvine, Columbia University, George Mason, and more! SDHS arts alumni are making a name for themselves!
• Our monetary support from the county is very limited.
